All Your Passwords Are Belong To Us

WTF?

Hackers dumped another huge cache of stolen passwords, this time exposing what they said are as many 35,000 plaintext passcodes from the website of clothing maker Billabong International.

The post comes less than 24 hours after the discovery of a separate password dump that affected more than 453,000 accounts for Yahoo’s Contributor Network (previously Associated Content)

We prefer the term crackers,

Graphics processor biz NVIDIA has contacted users of its discussion forums and Developer Zone to warn that its servers have been hacked.

The message boards hosted at forums.nvidia.com and the programming resource developer.nvidia.com were breached last week. Data lifted from the compromised systems included account passwords although they were properly salted and stored as a one-way encrypted hash.

Find yourself.

PwnedList is a tool that allows an average person to check if their online accounts have been compromised. The site started out as small research project with a rather simple premise. To discover how many compromised accounts can be harvested programatically in just a couple of hours. Well, needless to say, the results were astonishing. In just under 2 hours we had close to 30,000 accounts, complete with logins and passwords. The truly scary part, however, was the quality of data we were able to collect in such a short amount of time. The accounts we were able to retrieve consisted of email services, social media sites, merchants and even financial institutions. It was clear that something had to be done.

Just Saying

Robert Gibbs really needs to wear red ties.

For One Million Alex,

It is your destiny young Skywalker,

News Corp. is not just a beneficiary of Prince Al-waleed’s dough. It has also invested $70 million in his Saudi media conglomerate. And Prince Al-Waleed is not just a $3 billion stakeholder in News Corp. He’s also a backer of that same Imam Rauf. As Yahoo News reports, Prince Al-Waleed has directly funded two of Rauf’s projects to the tune of more than $300,000.

I think I will donate it to the RGA and buy a front row seat at the WH Press Room where I can feel the disturbance in the force, as Gibbs denounces me as a professional liberal.
