The cynical bastards of DC just keep piling it on the people that don’t have time to dig into every issue, like those of immigration.
EXCLUSIVE: Email From Author Of Arizona Law Reveals Intent To Cast Wide Net Against Latinos
You know Americans move all over the country for jobs because that’s what most people do, they go work where the money is. This isn’t a news flash, it’s been that way from the git go. It is a historical reality of economic imperative.
Addressing the problem of illegal immigration should be based on empirical evidence based on that historical reality. Not on some knobs in Washington DC prejudice.
Waterkeeper Alliance could probably stand to be nickeled and dimed to life.
Just to be upfront about things,
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., president of the Waterkeeper Alliance, jumped into the fray, filing suit on behalf of Louisiana commercial shrimpers. Four Waterkeeper groups are active in the region, Louisiana Bayoukeeper in Barataria; Mobile Baykeeper in Alabama; Emerald Coastkeeper in Pensacola, Fla.; and Lower Mississippi Riverkeeper in Baton Rouge, La. “The Waterkeeper Alliance can answer the following question, “Is burning fuel the right move for the environment, human health and the Gulf economy?” a public relations firm representing the group e-mailed media contacts.
As Mr. Kennedy noted on Rick Sanchez’z show on CNN, Waterkeepers has been advocating for commercial fishermen for twenty-five years. (Who would have thunk?) The estuaries provide 41% of American seafood production.
If you’re out driving Sunday, you’d better be prepared to pucker up. It’s Lemonade Day, the annual city-wide event teaching children how to start and operate a business.
With about 50,000 youths participating in this year’s project, nary a streetcorner (or park, or church or even prime retail center) will likely be empty of budding entrepreneurs pitching their version of the timeless refreshment.
Update III: here.
Update IV: There is only one of me, you see.
There he goes again. If Durbin, et al wish to reduce the deficits maybe they ought to put eight million people back to work with a jobs program so they can contribute to the SS fund, that Ronald Reagan and Congress promised me would be solvent when I retired.
And he certainly has mastered the fine art of messaging to the Democratic base:
[Durbin] admonished “bleeding heart liberals” to be open to program reductions to restore fiscal balance.
Remember that tax increase?
The US DoD announced contingency plans to use old nuclear weapons to seal the well leaking into the Gulf of Mexico.
“We figure it will kill two birds with one stone, excuse the pun, and cause little damage to the environment. We are asking all the volunteer Americans with shovels and buckets on the South coast to evacuate the beaches as any tar balls will probably be radioactive.”
A series of extensions passed by Congress in 2008 and 2009 prolonged the benefits for an unprecedented period: 99 weeks in states with high unemployment, such as California. There have never been benefits available for so long, said Loree Levy, spokeswoman for the state Employment Development Department.
The last extension was approved in November 2009, giving the unemployed an extra 20 weeks of checks. But people eligible for those additional weeks are losing their benefits now, and a further extension is considered unlikely given the massive federal budget deficit.
If US Public debt is such a big problem then why is everyone so anxious to buy US Treasuries?

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
No one has detonated a nuclear device over population centers in decades.
