Nice day for all of those responsible for America’s worst strategic blunder in its’ history to come forward and tell us that this time it’s not their fault.
Hope this makes you feel better about yourselves, but still, all the blood is on your hands, the treasury was spent by you, and your opinion on all things Iraq is moot.
I suppose I should ask which weatern politician is responsible for the Shia resistence?
The Iraqi army is claiming to have slowed down the lightning advance of Sunni fighters by regaining some territory in counter-attacks, easing pressure on the Shia-led government in Baghdad.
The gains by the Iraqi military came on a day when Iran pledged its support to the Iraqi government for beating back the fighters from the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and associated armed groups, and Washington ordered one of its aircraft carriers to head to the Gulf in case President Barack Obama decided to intervene.
My betters have alwsays had a problem with the Iraqi narrative.
Because complexity like this can’t be reduced to “my feelings tell me”.
