The only thing that Beutler leaves out is the way these scandals are engineered to snowball without any real resolution but to snowball into to an “atmosphere of scandal” that keeps on rolling and getting bigger with each new addition. Benghazi! is just the beginning.
The best articulation that I’ve seen comes from Larry Johnson, whose analysis is stomped all over by his animus, but that aside, is at worst a bad judgement call decision based perhaps in conceit, but not one not deceit. Whether conceit can be established I have my serious doubts about.
