This Blog Has Been Hijacked! By Hijackers!

From Hijinksistan! Or by Washington, the federal government or something!

Melvin’s comments led Sen. David Bradley, D-Tucson, to ask him whether he’s actually read the Common Core standards, which have been adopted by 45 states.
“I’ve been exposed to them,” Melvin responded.

Pressed by Bradley for specifics, Melvin said he understands “some of the reading material is borderline pornographic.” And he said the program uses “fuzzy math,” substituting letters for numbers in some examples.

E=MC^2, a+b= 3 If a ~1 solve for b.

A Rounding Error

Probably.

That’s what I would say if I were the NSA

AT&T this week released for the first time in the phone company’s 140-year history a rough accounting of how often the U.S. government secretly demands records on telephone customers. But to those who’ve been following the National Security Agency leaks, Ma Bell’s numbers come up short by more than 80 million spied-upon Americans.

You can fool all of the pant wetters all of the time after all.

Don’t Look Ma!

When real thieves strike,

BT is suffering a big outage in a number of areas throughout Blighty, after thieves severed the telecoms giant’s fibre cable in an effort to nick copper wiring from the company on Monday.

TalkTalk, which is a BT Openreach customer, said on its status page that its service was affected by a “major cable break”.

There are mouths to pay, and addictions to feed. . .

Off my television and newspapers front page.

Imagine that.

Phantom stock, phantom currency, phantom economics.

Would it be asking to much of the masters of the universe to, I don’t know, pull your heads out of your arses and read, I don’t know, a book?

Let’s Be Blunt Here

Creationism discredits religion.

Anyone that thinks the Bible is about the first couple of chapters of Genesis, worth arguing over, disputing about, or using it for science, is just missing the whole point of the Book.

You don’t have to be stupid, I suppose, but it helps because you certainly appear to be so, and being stupid should allow you to ignore the implications of that appearance.

Advocatus Diaboli writes with this excerpt from an article by Glenn Greenwald on the pervasiveness of shills poisoning web forums:

Well Just Tell Everyone!

Sheesh.

WhatsApp, the mobile messaging app developer that Facebook is acquiring for $19 billion, may be an attractive addition to the social network, thanks to WhatsApp’s 450 million active users and en vogue status. It may also be attractive to government spies and criminal hackers, thanks to several weaknesses in the encryption WhatsApp uses to protect messages from eavesdropping, researchers say.

Next thing you know somwone will be ratting out Harvard.

JSYK I would have broke these stories except some spoofer playing with the telephones woke me up early. I’m assuming they’re Canadians aware of my magical thinking ability to influence hockey games if I watch them.

Calling Mike Rodgers

I have my suspicions sir,

One surprising finding, however, was that iOS apps were actually more likely to do suspect things overall. The survey found that 91 per cent of all iOS apps, free and paid, exhibited at least one risky behavior. The figure was only 83 per cent for Android apps as a whole. But that doesn’t mean Android apps are generally safer, as the report explains:

That the three letter boys are ahead of the game which of course is sold out.

I’ll go out on a limb here and assume that everyone is doing it, and refer you back to the previous post for your serious explanation. specifically steps 5 & 6. YMMV
