To cover our unique weekend of Washington’s “fire and ice,” we divided our photographic efforts to shoot a sunrise at the Tidal Basin and to photograph the icy Potomac River at dusk.
In addition, we have included details on how to forecast the “perfect sunrise” as well as a brief look at why we’re getting an ice-covered Potomac.
Speaking as an amateur, you don’t actually manipulate the color so much as shoot like hell and holler as you cycle through the settings. Modern digital cameras in conjunction with software, for myself, raises photography to the level of pain in the ass since I am happy to once and awhile get the framing right, and on occassion actually take a shot of what I’m seeing to turn up in a picture.
Anyway worth a looksee.
